I’m a graphic designer with 30+ years’ experience, helping hands-on business owners make the graphics they already create look more polished, professional and worthy of the business behind them – without making the whole thing more complicated than it needs to be.
But that’s not how it started...
(the short version 🤣)
I’ve been a graphic designer for over 30 years, and I’ve been running my own freelance studio for more than 20 of them.
So I know what it’s like to juggle clients, family, health and a business… and I know how important simple systems are when you’re trying to keep all of that moving.
Over the years, I created my own shortcuts, checklists and workflows in the studio – things that helped me work faster, make better decisions and stay consistent without overthinking everything.
For me, designing felt… easy.
Then tools like Canva arrived. And suddenly, business owners could create their own graphics without needing a designer for every little thing.
At first, I thought that was brilliant. Design became more accessible, quicker and far less intimidating.
But then I started noticing something....
And that’s where things get frustrating.
Knowing how to move things around on a page is one thing. Knowing what to choose, what to remove, what to emphasise and why something still doesn’t quite look professional is another.
So they try harder.
They use more templates.
They add more.
They spend more time designing.
They tweak colours, fonts and layouts again and again.
And still think, “Why does this not look right?”
It's not that they haven't tried. It's that no one has shown them the simple foundations and visual decisions that make everything feel more polished, professional and pulled together.
